Me – The Artist

Though I am no longer taking art classes, and rarely spend time creating art anymore, I still devote a large majority of my time being creative. As a teacher I am often working with students to create advertisements, videos, dances and much more. Here is a glimpse at what I used to work on.

I never like to consider myself an artist, but from the amount of art classes I have taken, maybe its something I should think about. I am a very creative person, and I like to make things, and manipulate different mediums, so therefore I am an artist.

I primarily like to draw, it is my strongest artistic skill. Lately I have been very interested in painting, and have explored that a lot. My biggest interest is graffiti and street art. I have done a lot of research on this art form, and explored it greatly, and am nowhere near as aware as I would like to be. Just like I grow as a person and as an educator, I am continously growing as an artist. I wanted to showcase some of the art I have saved on my computer. Some are very recent while others are from highschool.

My biggest artistic accomplishment as been my visual twin project. Many people are familiar with the images hanging on the walls on the second floor of the education building, and I am excited to know that soon mine will be. It was the most extensive art project I have ever worked on, and is one of the things in my life that actually sticks out as something I am proud of.

I hope you enjoy my work!
